SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

1. Your design must be an A3 sized document, and include the following:

  • Bag must be designed with genuine leather as the main material
  • Front view in colour sketch
  • One other view in colour sketch
  • A technical drawing with scaled measurement
  • Present the material swatch(es) and colour story

2. To ensure fairness, NO participant/ company/ institute name should appear on your drawing or else your submission will be disqualified.

3. Your design must align with this year’s theme: New Uses/Functionalities. Submissions that do not reflect the theme will be disqualified.

SUBMISSION FORMAT

All submissions must STRICTLY follow the layout required by the organisers to be qualified. Unqualified entries will not be assessed by the judges.

2026 THEME:
New Uses / Functionalities

A functional and innovative bag that embodies simplicity with clean lines, ergonomically designed to fit your body and transition between work, travel, leisure and pleasure. Leather will be used as a matter and can be combined with other materials and accessories.

Design Guidelines:

1.  Leather, what else? Genuine leather must be used…
and can be complemented by other natural or non-leather materials.

2.  Review our judging criteria before sketching to maximize your submissions’ potential: 

  • Creativity (35%):  Innovative, unique, and authentic.
  • Theme Alignment (30%):  Align with the theme, focusing on ergonomics, simplicity, and functionality.
  • Trends Relevance (20%): Up to date with the current seasonal trends and contemporary fashion.
  • Marketability (15%): Demonstrate commercial viability.

3. Look for inspirations and fashion indicators from archives to explore iconic bag designs for the future.

4. Participants are welcome to submit multiple designs. 
However, the same design is not allowed to be submitted more than once. 

5. Participants are encouraged to learn about the selection process.

  • First Judging Round: The judges will evaluate all entries. The top 3 submissions will be selected as the top 3 finalists for the Final Judging Ceremony.
  • Online Voting Round: All qualified entries will be posted on Facebook for public voting. The design with the most “likes” will be the winner of the Online Favourite Design Award. 

SUBMISSION PROCESS

Complete the online submission form and upload your design. If you are submitting more than one design, you must repeat the submission process for each separate entry.

* Please make sure your entry fulfils the requirements and follow our guidelines before submitting it to the e-platform. 

Should you submit the same design more than once, your entry will be disqualified.
